I too got to see Robbin at the Coffee Pot in Roanoke in August. As I mentioned to him I was not sure how he would pull off some of the songs without backup, but the night came off flawlessly. Voice as strong as ever, must be the open air of the Cheasapeake. Purchased a copy of "Chesapeake" and was just amazed at the variety of songs. Played it for a friend over Labor day and he had to get a tape to take back to Jersey. Looking forward to the next release, whenever! Thanks and hope to see you soon-Lec

"Two B's Please" has always been one of my favorite albums but since I played the tape so much as to wear it out, I haven't been able to listen to it for years. I am thankful that I was able to get it on CD now. Thanks Robbin! Keep playin'.

The album is called "ROBBIN THOMPSON", it's from 1976 and features the song "ANOTHER CUP OF COFFEE AND A CIGARETTE". That song is included on the CD called "SINCE GRADE SCHOOL", which is a compilation from 1988 of ROBBIN's songs that also has five new songs on it...

I just did a search and found this site! Very exciting! I became a fan of yours when my college roommate at VPI brought one of your albums back to Blacksburg after she'd been home to Richmond on break. This was '77 and I never got a copy of that album and cannot for the life of me remember the name, although I still remember the album cover photo. There was a song on there called (I think) "Another Cup of Coffee and a Cigarette" that I especially loved. Was that the name or just a lyric I fondly remember? What was that song and how can I get it? That album was excellent and I would love to have it. Will be adding Two B's and Chesapeake to my collection now. Thanks for the music!

hi, i would like to know where i can get a cd copy of magnolia, it is one of my alltime favorite tunes, a dj named danny crane used to play it all the time at the trawler in exmore back in the 80's and now that i am doing dj work, i play a scratchy cassette version nearly every gig, and it still packs the dancefloor just like it did back then.. thanks

I met you back in the late 70's when you were playing at the Pot, and it was a blast! I ran in to you again while I was in college at Averett in Danville. I shared my Mom's famous Red Velvet Cake with you and the rest of the band. Hard to believe it's been over 20 years. Thanks for great tunes and good times!

Just wanted to say thanks for all the memories your music gives me of the years I spent growing up in Portsmouth, VA from 1965 to 1982. Every time I think of Virginia, I think of Candy Apple Red and Sweet Virginia Breeze. Can't believe I just found your CD's on CDBaby.com, including the new one. My friends and I agree that your music brings us back more than anything!

Robbin's band brings back great memories for me. Tight musicians and a really great singer.... I really enjoy his music. I lived in Va Beach in the mid-80's and was turned on to Robbin's music there. I bought a cassette tape of one of his albums and I left it in the tape deck of my 1969 Olds 442 all summer long. Good Memories. Thanks!

It took me years to find 2b`s in an old vinyl bin back in 1992. I let someone use it to record and never got the album back.(go figure) I had one tape that I have been babying since then and was very glad to find it(web search) now on cd. I also bought "Out on the Chesapeake" and It is just fantastic. Robbin Thompson is one of the classiest artists I have had the pleasure to converse(just gotta love these information superhighway times)with. His Music has gotten me through many good and bad times. Much more than I have the words to explain. Thanks for the Music Captain. Keep Sailing yur ass off... Rich Ilkanic Just another Lawn Guy lovin Life.
