Robbin!!! I was so thrilled to find your website and to have the opportunity to replace my long lost copy of 2 B's Please! After hearing excerpts from your new album Out on the Chesapeake, I picked that up too! I have a lot of great memories made in the 80's that involve your concerts at The CoffeePot in Roanoke,VA and the now defunct Scotland Yard in Harrisonburg,VA. There was no better way to get away from the books during college than to load up the car with all my friends and head to "the Yard" to see RTB!! Those were the days! Thanks for sending me the gig schedule and for taking the time to email me...some of my college buddies and myself are thinking of trying to get together for one of your concerts!!!! What a blast that would be!!! God Bless!!

The Robbin Thompson Band is one of my favorite bands of this era. Two B's Please is one of my alltime favorites and after previewing the new cd I'm purchasing it along with a 2nd copy of Two B's Please in case something happens to my original CD.

I have become very fond of "Sweet Virginia Breeze" since moving here 3 years ago. While visiting Borders bookstore in order to find a CD that included it, the clerk could not find any reference to you in their music library. Another customer, who apparently was a fan of yours, pointed out Steve Bassett's newest CD and I copied down the Web address. I finally linked to your website and then to CD Baby and was able to order your Two B's Please CD. I'll be very happy when it arrives. Please keep me posted on your appearances. I would be interested in hearing your group in person. Thanks.

Stumbled across the web-site tonight while looking for other stuff. What a great surprise! I haven't heard "Two Bs Please" in nearly 20 years (somewhere along the way my bootlegged cassette bit the dust) but I can still recall the words to Brite Eyes and Candy Apple Red. Can't wait to get the CD.

Hi Robbin, thanks to old Greensboro friend Jim Brown, I finally have your music on CD. He did all the research for me, and gave me 2 CD's for my birthday. Jill (my daughter) and I never missed a gig if it was in the GSO, HP, W-S, Chappel Hill or Burlington area. Even caught you once or twice at the Mad Monk in Wilmington, now only a memory and a hole in the ground. Hope you are better, whatever this is, and we are praying for you. I miss the east coast, (now living in TX) and hope to return someday, so don't completely retire,OK? Your music (playing now, hehe) brings back such sweet memories of a more carefree time. Be well, my old friend.

I know about that TWO B'S PLEASE with a different cover. It has a painted portrait of Robbin on the cover and some great live-shots of the band on the inner-sleeve. Robbin told me about it and it was the regional release in Richmond, before the album was released elsewhere...

Being his daughter I could say a lot about Robbin Thompson. But I won't to save face for our family. My dad works really hard at what he does and loves every facet of it. We are all really proud of him. Love you dad!

Robbin! Great site. Hope you'll be adding a discography and lyrics soon (???) Thank you for snail mailing a reply to my post on the Lobe.com message board. This shows your true dedication to your fans. I just wish you had signed it! I just found a copy of 2 B's in a used record store here in Dothan and was a little curious... It has a different cover and is on Richmond Records. Are the cuts the same or were some remixed for the Ovation release? Just curious. BTW, I'm still in awe of Velpo. That guy's amazing.

I have been a fan since the late 70's when I used to travel Virginia on business and saw Robbin perform several times in bars and clubs around Richmond. Also saw him perform in Georgetown at the Cellar Door or was it the Down Under- under the bridge in Georgetown. I was wondering what LPs are now available in CD format. My vinyl is old and the only Cd I have is "Since grade School". I'd like to get my hands on CD versions of the original albums. Send me a schedule if Robbin is still performing live and an update on his music. I just did a search and found several great links including this one. Isn't the Internet great !!

There's never been anything quite as thrilling as being at a RTB concert! Who knows what makes it work - it could be the artistry Eric has with his keyboard and the way he absolutely "gets into it" (there simply is no one better), or the way Velpo absolutely masters a guitar and moves you from jamming rock-n-roll to soulful blues, Bobby's brilliant smile beaming between the symbols while he slams a beat or makes a drum sound more like chimes in the breeze, the antics of Audi and his bass, the pure energy Robbin gives off through his sound and his presence, or the way Bevin brings it all together (thank God)! Whatever creates the magic, it was and hopefully still is just that...pure magic! Thanks guys for the music. Thank you for the energy. Thank you for the powerful memories. Thank you for the magic!

Being the mother of Robbin Thompson has been an experience that I am glad I didn't miss. I could tell your fans a lot of stories, but I would rather say how proud of you I am. I think that your web site is great. I am so glad that I was able to see you preform in Ashland at the coffee house. Also seeing you and Steve was a real treat. Mom
