We just heard Robbin last night in Vinton, VA for the first time in years. He was awesome, as he has always been. I was so excited to hear he was going to be here, so I HAD to go. His voice is wonderful and hearing the "old stuff" again brought back alot of memories for me and my husband. Thanks Robbin and keep cranking them out. |

When I first heard Sweet Virginia Breeze (the version with Steve Bassett)I was hooked. I saw Robbin as often as I could and loved his music. While I was in the Navy, I was fortunate to see him at Waterside about the time Since Grade School came out and also at Abbey Road in VA Beach. Again, I was in love all over again. I still have my albums and wouldn't give them up for anything. Thank you Robbin for good memories, great music, and being from the best state there is. Take care! |

I listened to your One Stop Ahead Of The Blues CD for the first time today and liked it alot! I'm trying to decide which song is my favorite. I've heard so much about you from my nephew, Shane Cooley who has seen you many times. Next time, I hope to go with him!
Shane mentioned how helpful you have been with his music. I think that's really, really nice that you take the time to give him (any) advice, it means alot to him and he is putting it to use too. Shane's a great kid and is really serious about his music (unfortunately, he didn't inherit his musical talents from our side of the family - ha). Thanks again and hope to catch you soon. - Cindy |

Hey, Robbin! New CDs are great! I think the song "Wouldn't Wanna Be You" probadly fits Saddam too. What a inspriation! This song ranks right up there with "Sweet Virginia Breeze".

Caught your show on Saturday night! After months of trying to get to a gig, I finally was there and what can I say but . . . WOW!!! You are amazing! I enjoyed your performance soooo much. Thanks for "just being you" and keep on writing and performing. Can't wait till I can see you again. And, yes - I do own the original vinyl album "2B's Please". Loved it so much back then that during the past two years I have collected this CD version, bought "Since Grade School", "Out On The Chesapeake", and of course your two newest "One Step Ahead of the Blues" and "The Vinyl Years". Love ya!! |

Thanks first of all for not ratting me out to my dad when I was wasted drunk at at UVA in 1977 at your concert at Newcomb Hall!
Thanks for you and Vicky babysitting me and Leslie and giving me some cool kayak trips with down the James River with you.
Now that I am an old fart with kids 15, 13 and 10 i am into reggae, good country, alternative Xn and bluegrass. Your new releases The Vinyl Years were awesome. Sounded like you remixed a few but that me just be me being old. Eitherway that is a great collection.
The new CD, is really well done. I love the Train Song with the cool but subtle bluegrass flavor. I would love to hear you do a more exact copy of Jesse Colin Young's "EveryBody Get Together" or something off of CSNY "FOur Way Street" because i know you could do it and take us back.
Have you ever redone "Lady of The Highlands" from Steel Mill days. That was one great song. Last thing (I am ADD!) can you write me a couple of worship songs for church? You always like using the Hammond B3 and the black mass choir sound.
Later dude,
Quigg Lawrence, Jr |

Robbin, just got my two new CD's in the mail yesterday -- thanks! I've been listening to them both at my desk at work this morning, and have had several people stop and ask me about the music -- hopefully I'll be able to create a mid-Pacific legion of fans for you. The music is great, "The Vinyl Years" is really taking me back, and "One Step..." is taking me forward! Well worth waiting for! Aloha, Chuck |
